Lotsa Siding (and Some More Insulation)

Cam, Peter and Sonny have started the siding and it is looking great. It is looking like a real house now! They put one coat of paint on the siding before putting it up on the house. The siding they are using is called Smart Lap and I believe it is treated engineered wood.

The people doing the insulating are going really fast and it looks like they might finish tomorrow. Almost all the walls are done and most of the vapour barrier is up and they have almost entirely done the floor in between the main level and the top level. There was a lot less echoing in the house tonight with all the insulation added.

Make sure you take a minute to admire the stairs going from our deck to the backyard. They are nice and wide and beautiful! I love that our main floor isn't one entire storey above the backyard. I think there are only eight stairs and so the deck feels like it is part of the backyard and not above it.
