It Began Innocently Enough...

We have had our eye on this piece of land for years and John noticed it was for sale one day after work. Within 48 hours we had an accepted offer on it and had dreams of a house that was perfect for us, thinking that we had years to plan and build it. That all changed quickly, for reasons I will explain in a later post.

The lot is beautiful and exactly what we have been wanting and looking for since we moved to this community from Vancouver in 2003. We live in a small heritage town by the sea. We love to garden and have been looking for a larger lot with an ocean view. Our new lot is .36 of an acre, within walking distance to downtown, the beach, schools and the local community centre - perfect for our family.

So the lot was now ours. Everything was starting out perfectly!
