Plan #2

In October the house plans were coming along and we were getting down to the nitty gritty, the most important part. Nope, not the kitchen. The kids' bedrooms. As I mentioned earlier, the kids agree on something about once a year. They don't do it on purpose. Often John and I will purposely ask them the same question separately before they know the other one's answer. They just naturally like different things. So we knew who got which bedroom would be a real sticky point. Luckily our designer was understanding (although I am sure they were shaking their heads at us!) and the rooms are similar sizes. Ella also wanted a walk-in closet which John and I both agreed seems slightly indulgent for an eight year old. We let Ella choose her room and we actually were able to take some space out of our closet and add it to hers to make a mini walk-in closet and that seems to be the turning point in her desire to move. Yahoo! Plan #2 - a success!!
